Applications for the Chudnovsky Residency will be posted in the fall of 2017

What?

The Chudnovsky Residency is a two-week to three-month opportunity for poets, writers and translators interested in Argentinian literature and culture to live rent free in Buenos Aires. This opportunity has no teaching or publication requirements attached, just free unstructured time to explore one of the great cities of the world and write. The furnished apartment is located in a typical residential district in the city, near the Puan metro station in Caballito and with easy access to the rest of the city.

When?

We will begin accepting applications in the late fall of 2017 for the Spring of 2018. Our interest will be primarily with poets, writers and translators with an outward facing poetry of engagement. In addition, we would like to support writers or historians with a particular interest in Jewish Latin America. Residents will be asked to provide a range of dates they are interested in staying and can request the length of time they need to complete their goals in Buenos Airies.

How Much?

Chudnovsky Residents are invited to stay in our Buenos Aires apartment for free for unstructured writing time. Unfortunately, this Residency does not include travel costs or living costs while in Buenos Aires. We are very happy to work with prospective Residents if you seek to secure additional funding for this opportunity.
