An Evening of Translation with NOTIS in the Garden
A huge thanks to the literary translators of NOTIS for sharing their work with us: Finnish comics, Italian poetry, Arabic humor, German horror and a bit of French song!
Translators in order: Lola Rodgers, Deborah Woodard, Kay Heikkinen, Jennifer Mendez, and Arwen Dewey! THANK YOU!
And thanks to the neighbors, curious readers, and those who love translation who made it out to hear live work! A+ What a lovey evening!
Kay Heikkinen sharing Egyptian short stories.
Deborah Woodard reading from her translation with Roberta Antognini of Amelia Rosselli's "Notes Scattered and Lost."

Lola Rodgers read translation from Finish comic/graphic novel.

Jennifer Mendez shared her translation of a recent German horror story.

And finally, the evening was closed with Arwen Dewey performing translation of French and Spanish songs! A delightful way to close a reading.
