Aaron Otheim is a Chicago-based musician known for his genre-bending work as a keyboardist, arranger, and composer. Our book, Woodland, contains a new “score” by him, reinterpreting Edward MacDowell’s Woodland Sketches for the age of climate change and endless fires.

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, he studied improvised music at the University of Washington and helped establish Seattle’s highly regarded Racer Sessions. Aaron tours with the band Heatwarmer and has recently scored several dance and visual collaborations.
